Wow Carol,
I’m glad you sent this out. Margie is a special person and although I don’t know her well, somehow I’m not surprised she is giving up a kidney. A kidney!
PKD runs in my family, but so far we have all been fortunate enough to not reach Gayle’s status. I have a long time friend who is dealing with her newborn daughter’s (four months old now) struggle for life due to PKD. She is already a little miracle, born early, beating all the odds. She will need to be on 24 hour a day dialysis for her first year, then hope for a kidney transplant. We are all continue along in our lives and sometimes have no clue of the life and death struggles happening all around us. Gayle is lucky to have you both and I will wish you all well through this journey.
Love, Brooke
Dear Carol and Margie (and Tucker boy) Because of Margie’s example of such “UNSELFISH LOVE” ……(That’s what it is you know )….. I am reminded of what we “should” do for others…..YOU ARE AN “INSPIRATION” ……. A REAL TESTIMONY TO WHAT IS “GOODNESS” IN THIS WORLD…..Blessings to you all…..I shall keep you in my thoughts and prayers! Let me know if I can do anything….your neighbor and friend ….. With love to all, Lynne
I will pray for Margie, and for Gayle… What a big heart Margie has, wow, so brave! Best to you too dear, I think about you often!
Thank You,

Hi, CJ -
Well, that’s really nice of Margie to donate a kidney. Do give her our best wishes.
At about age 70, my grandmother had a kidney removed (not to donate, but it was removed nonetheless) and she had a perfectly normal life for her remaining 23 years. Also, a couple we know from church each has just one kidney — because the wife gave one to her husband.
Chins up!
Judy
I will be thinking of both you and Margie! My stepdad always said, “You only get to keep what you give away!” This is the perfect example of giving health and a lifetime of friendship to one another – so beautiful!
Margie, Judy and I send our best wishes. To describe your donation as selfless and generous is an understatement! Fortunately, we have duplicates of some of the organs, like headlights. My baby sister, now in her 50s, was born with only one kidney and the deficit hasn’t slowed her down. I’m sure that you will be slowed only temporarily and will be back to your lovable, energetic self in short order. We do not know Gayle but we wish her a long and happy life as well.
Love, Jan and Judy

Dear Margie and Gayle,
I’ve been trying to imagine what emotions you must be going through during this journey together, and I’m sure they’ve run the gamut a few times over! My prayer is that in just another day you both will find yourselves in a blissful state of gratitude and relief with the success of your procedure. What a wonderful, wonderful example of caring and sharing you are setting, one that will most certainly spread light in a radiating circle, farther than we can see. You are giving more than you realize, both of you. Thank you for that.
Wishing you both happy, healthy days ahead.
