Well shoot, Gayle is feeling well and walking around a fair amount, BUT– she still has some pain in the side and the docs have some once burned reservations. So the present course is to watch and wait. She had liquids and soft stuff for breakfast. (cream o wheat). The docs seem inclined to keep her here for one more day. Which is fine by me. Lets get her right before we go home. One minor problem is the Kabuki hotel is sold out for tonight and is kicking us out. However the CPMC reservation guru says not to worry, she will get us in somewhere. I hope.
Soooo, the short version. Gayle is better but tires easy and still has some pain and gas moving around. The Docs are cautious and are saying probably another day. Nan has made her calls to make room and I am just going to show up at work when I do. We will see how the day progresses.
Loren.
Bummer, but I’m glad to hear they are taking a conservative approach. Much better to be cautious than cavalier. Too bad about the hotel situation, which is not likely to get better as we head into a holiday weekend, with Valentine’s Day in there too. . . Please give my love to Gayle.
Oh yeah – a long weekend, combined with Valentine’s Day – not good for hotel reservations. We hope the reservation guru finds something.
Gayle’s moved on up to cream o’ wheat – I love that stuff!
Hang in there, Chipmans. We’re rooting for you.

Soooo glad to get the latest report. It makes a lot of sense to keep Gayle over another night… best to be safe. Sorry to hear you have to change hotels…who’d think that would occur mid-week. Love to you, Gayle, and Nan.
Thanks for the good news. Glad to hear it. We’ll all take a few days off to celebrate
so….staying another night….is that like a sleepover? I am glad that they are more cautious about her release…I am sure you would both rather be home…but, this is a better thing to do so that when you do go home, it will be with a healthier Gayle and thus a happier Gayle and Loren during Valentine’s weekend….
hugs and kisses to you both
